Meet Dan.

At 43 years old, Dan was at his heaviest weight ever of 270lbs (pictured above).

In September of 2016, on his 46th birthday, Dan woke up and thought, "Something needs to change if I’m ever going to get into better shape".

He jumped right into a routine of lifting 5 days a week but made little progress and was frustrated. In the summer of 2017 Dan and his family temporarily moved to Salt Lake City so that his daughter could work with Ballet West. Knowing he needed a different workout and going to the gym on his own wasn't cutting it, he decided to try CrossFit (after having noticed CrossFit Chapel Hill classes at his home gym and seeing everyone leave exhausted in a pool of sweat). There in Salt Lake City, he found SLC CrossFit and immediately became involved, training 5 days a week for 6 weeks until his family's return to Chapel Hill.

Upon his return, he began training with the team at CrossFit Chapel Hill and has remained consistent with his 5 classes per week. Since his start of CrossFit (not even a year ago) Dan has lost a whopping 40lbs, has gained strength and endurance, and comes in everyday, game face on, ready to crush the workouts.

Anyone can do this, and it's never too late. No matter your age or skill level, you can make the change to get into the best shape of your life.
